Some of the benefits of joining the Chicago Loop Alliance include:
- Manage a Membership Program which includes various networking events, Leadership Forums and Quarterly Newsletters. Additionally, CLA has several committees for members to participate in which helps to shape and define the area.
- Premiered Looptopia on May 11, 2007 – America's first dusk-till-dawn cultural celebration of a vibrant downtown. Looptopia attracted a quarter million people to the Loop and showcased how vibrant the area has become. We intend to grow Looptopia into one of the top cultural and artistic celebrations in the country.
- Launched Loop the Loop Program, giving visitors to our website access to narrated audio tours of the Loop through 3 walking “tracks” – Art, Theater and Landmarks. A downloadable audio tour accompanies the audio tours and provides a fresh way to experience the Loop . Since July 1, over 11,000 website visitors have downloaded Loop the Loop and the program was embraced by the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association as a tool for promoting urban walking and well-being.
- Introduced the first-ever comprehensive Loop Economic Study, featuring an online analysis of the Loop with maps, industry statistics and links to Loop destinations – both existing and “coming soon.” This B2B tool made available on our website last fall really underscores the mixed-use nature of today's Loop by providing information on the retail, lodging, cultural, residential and collegiate markets in the Loop.
