On Wednesday, June 10th, CLA held it's Leadership Forum at The Harris Theater for Music and Dance. Laura S. Washington, Wells-Barnett University Professor at DePaul University in Chicago and a columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, moderated a discussion between our guest panelist, David Dewey, President of Brownstone Realty and Development Company, Kathy Embry, CLA Board Member and Committee Chair of LoopUChicago.com/General Educaton Chair/Online Coordinator, International Academy of Design & Technology, Geoffrey J.D. Hewings, Director of REAL, University of Illinois, Michael Perry, Store Manager, Segway Experience of Chicago and Programming Project Coordinator at CLA and Janet Carl Smith, Deputy Commissioner, Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. The Forum Panelists discussed the unveiling of dramatic new information about the Loop College Community and an update to the Higher Education in the Loop Economic Impact Study. On Thursday, April 2nd, CLA held its Leadership Forum at The Gene Siskel Film Center. During the event, Crain's reporter Eddie Baeb moderated a discussion between City of Chicago Commissioners, Chris Raguso, Acting Commissioner, Department of Community Development and Patricia Scudiero, Commissioner, Department of Zoning and Land Use Planning.
