With the help of its members, CLA is instrumental in bringing key stakeholders together and acting as a catalyst for positive change & growth in the Loop.  Examples of this work include gathering sponsors, venues and cultural institutions together to create Looptopia, (America's first dusk 'til dawn cultural & artistic celebration), sitting down with public and private entities to refine the infrastructure design for the Wabash Improvement Project, and convening CLA's Marketing Committee to brainstorm about rebranding this rapidly changing area. 

In addition to these previous examples, your business/organization can count on increased community resources and exposure through several other CLA membership benefits listed below.

Networking Events
CLA and the Membership Committee work hard to provide a mix of events designed to allow its members to interact in ways that advantageously strengthen the relationships between those members who seek to further connect with other Loop area businesses.  Such events include our CLA Member Events, Leadership Forums, Looptopia, Annual Gala and Annual Meeting among others.

Advocacy
CLA provides support for its members in numerous ways including representing them to the City of Chicago.  By providing this link to City Hall, CLA provides resources and referral information on anything that impacts doing business in the city, including permits, graffiti removal, waste management and zoning changes.  As a CLA member, you will also receive advance notification of ordinance changes, security and safety recommendations, planned demonstrations, traffic re-routes and a variety of issues that affect how you do business in the Loop.

Partnerships/Promotions
CLA membership enables individual businesses and organizations to tap into a scale and reach of promotion that they would not otherwise have access to.  For example, Looptopia, which brought together an audience of over 200,000 in both 2007 and 2008, has generated over 200 million media impressions from national and local media.  

Additionally, in 2006 CLA launched its Corporate Partners Program, which provides an opportunity for members, businesses and organizations to increase their visibility and profile by sponsoring various CLA programming and events.
