ANNUAL MEETING & COCKTAIL RECEPTION
Attended by more than 250 business and community leaders each year, the Chicago Loop Alliance Annual Meeting & Cocktail Reception provides members and guests with the opportunity to learn about the latest trends impacting the Loop, and serves as the platform for announcing CLA's upcoming programs and events.
The 2012 Annual Meeting featured the announcement of Jessica Stockholder as the commissioned artist for Art Loop, the third annual program that invites world-renowned artists to create original, site-specific public art installations in the Loop. Previous meetings have detailed the results of the comprehensive Loop Economic Study and Impact Report, commissioned by Chicago Loop Alliance to collect statistics and identify economic trends in the region.
In 2009, executive director Ty Tabing declared the ‘Year of the Loop’, bolstered by the completion of several major new developments, including the renovation of the Palmer House Hilton, the opening of the mixed-use Block 37, the redevelopment of the Sullivan Center, the opening of theWit Hotel, the development & opening of Pritzker Park, and the historic opening of the Renzo Piano designed Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago.
